The Wii game console was the most searched-for product on eBay, followed by the Wii Fit companion product. Consumers snatched up 3,171 Wiis over eBay, at an average selling price of $349, followed by the Wii Fit, with 1,059 sold at an average selling price of $140.

Now, if we want to work up a sweat, we play the Wii Fit. So nice to have a family pastime that is good for our health!

I admit I am a little bashful working out with others but this is what I love about the Wii Fit. The ability for me to practice yoga, go for a mini jog, do strength exercises, complete with a encouraging personal trainer, in the privacy of my own home. My interested in yoga has now expanded into a twice weekly class. I feel more confident and can feel the difference in my strength and flexibility.  I even have more energy to get through the day and climb the staircase at the school without becoming winded!

I love how the game tracks our activity and keeps track of our daily progress with pretty charts and graphs. Players chart their results over a particular period of time.  There are fitness tips offered intermittently-somehow the machine is more successful at telling the kids to ‘eat your vegetables’!  There is such valuable information provided, I have never learned so much from a video system!

As each player continues to exercise with Wii Fit, they'll earn coin style credits that will unlock additional exercises, games and activities.  I am surprised and inspired by how challenging some of the games are getting, and I am always thrilled to hear my kids encouraging each other when they get to a particularly difficult activity.

My kids favorite games are the balance games like skiing and snowboarding or the strength games like karate. I feel like I can get a balanced workout, crosstraining my yoga with aerobic and strength exercises.

Even though I like to use the Wii Fit by myself, it is something the whole family can play together.  I am so grateful to have this system in our household.  I’m going to try the DanceDance Revolution next!  Maybe I’ll develop the confidence to get out on the dancefloor yet!

As we move more and more closer to the Holiday season, all gaminig consoles like the Nintendo, Sony PlayStation and Xbox are selling like crazy. There’s even talk that Nintendo Wii 2 HD is currently in research and design at Nintendo. Rumor has it to be around 2010 when the "Wii 2 HD" comes out.

Before you can buy anything on eBay, you need to be a registered user. First of all, go to ebay and create an account for yourself. You need a working email and must be 18 years of age or older. Once you receive your confirmation email, you're all set.

There are a few tips to keep in mind when shopping for a Wii Fit on eBay. First, watch out for over-inflated prices and shipping costs. Some sellers will try to gouge you with either the price of the item, or by inflating the shipping price to make up for what they are not getting in the item price. Consider what a fair shipping price would be for a Wii Fit (shipping weight 10.09 pounds) …and any additional accessories that may be accompanying it.

A shipping price of $20 - $30 may not be excessive. While prices have dropped since June 2008, auction prices for the Wii are still averaging $30-$60 above retail but think about the amount of time saved from driving all over town hunting for a elusive Wii Fit. Buying one on ebay for the right price might be worth it. Of course, if it is excessively above retail, run, do not walk, away from that auction.

Check the seller's feedback. Read negative and positive feedback, and pay attention to what kinds of items they have sold. Read the item's description carefully. The more detailed it is, the better. Make sure you are clear that they are selling a Wii Fit balance board and not some variation, like a "bundle" of accessories for the Wii Fit. Make sure you know what comes in a Wii Fit box so you don't get shortchanged. What you should get is the Wii Fit balance board, batteries, and the Wii Fit game disk.

While most sellers and buyers on eBay are perfectly legitimate, it is unfortunately our responsibility when shopping there to do all we can to avoid being taken by a scam. This is especially true with highly sought after items and electronics. The Wii falls under both categories, so be cautious.

Once you are sure you're getting what you want, you can bid by clicking on the Place Bid button. With the shortage of Wii Fits in the United States, if you end up paying a little more than if you happened across one at the local Walmart or game store, it may be well worth it as even the Wii Consoles are still really hard to find. I expect the Wii Fit will be one of the hottest Christmas presents this year and don't be too surprised to see the prices go up this November and December.

There are other online sources for the Nintendo Wii Fit besides eBay. There are other auction sites like Yahoo, as well as reselling on Amazon or an online classified site like craigslist. You may also luck out and find a Wii Fit online at a major retailer like Walmart or Best Buy. The key word when dealing with these large retailers is luck.

While the Wii Fit tends to run a little higher on Amazon than on eBay, some people don't mind paying a little bit more because they may feel more secure on Amazon. By using sites like eBay and Amazon that give the buyers some amount of protection, many buyers feel more secure about purchasing a high ticket item like a Wii console or Wii Fit, even if it does cost a little more. You can also feel better because you can check a seller's feedback on these two sites to see what other buyers' experiences have been.

Another nice thing about Amazon is you can see how many people purchased the item you're looking at, read reviews people have posted about the item, and see what accessories they bought with it. Their product descriptions on Amazon are very detailed and complete, also. You don't want to forget anything, after all. If you are not totally sure what the Wii Fit hype is all about, you'll have a good idea once you've read the description on Amazon. You'll also be able to view several photos of the console and its accessories from different viewpoints. They also have a few advertisements for companies that are also selling the Wii.
